landon thinks there's poop on everything in our house. whenever i need to wash something i tell him it's yucky and it has poopoos on it. sometime this is true...because yes, we deal with a lot of poop from that boy. but most times it's while he's screaming at me while i'm washing his blueberries. so according to landon all of our fruits and vegetables are covered in poop.
we have to watch what we say in front of landon now. the other day cam was looking for a certain episode of the colbert report and said, "it's the one where he calls that rick guy dick" and i said, "you just wanted to say 'dick'". cam looked right at me and said, "dick dick dick" and then landon looked right at him and said, "dick dick dick".
also when i went to pick landon up from nursery i discovered cam had already picked him up. i was sad cause i love getting him from nursery. once i saw cameron in the hallway with landon i smiled at cam and said, "you suck". landon then repeated, "he sucks he sucks he sucks" about 10 times as we tried to quiet him and rush him to the car.
the other day i asked landon to go get me a diaper so i could change him. he left my room and i heard him stop in his bathroom. i ran over but was too late. he had filled up a plastic cup full of toilet water and was gulping it down. i yelled, "where did you get that water?!" and he pointed to the uncovered toilet and yelled, "THAT!" with a big smile on his face. disgusting. i told my mom the story and she cringed and said, "please tell me you had just cleaned the toilet." um...yeah, mom, of course. i clean my toilet bowls every day (eek).
landon's favorite singer is enya. cam and i consequently hate her since that's all we're allowed to listen to in the car. his favorite hit of hers is "only time"...but isn't that everyone's? landon's favorite band, however, is definitely coldplay or "bebe". he could watch their music videos all day long if we let him.
once i caught landon sitting on my computer desk yelling out of frustration. he had his finger on one of the icons on the desktop and was trying to drag it along the screen (as if it were an iPad) and it wasn't working. he was very angry. this next generation is going to blow us away with technology.
landon is the only one that is allowed to pray at family prayers and mealtimes. he gets very angry if he catches one of us praying. that means, however that our prayers are like 5 seconds long when landon's hungry (we're not complaining). but for family prayers he says thank you for just about everything in his life. "nana and papa and pool and no no rocks and dadda and momma" to name a few. and each prayer ends in "dank do. amen."
just a few things i wanted to document before i forgot.

The toilet water story is disgusting. Don't worry though, I caught Jeremy totally chewing on one of those pumice stones I had just used to CLEAN the inside of the toilet bowl. It just shows that you and I are good parents, that's all.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you wrote all of this down. Good times.
ReplyDeleteAhhh I want to see him! So cute.
ReplyDeleteOh the toilet stories I could tell....but seriously, they are so gross. I don't know what it is about that particular appliance (is a toilet an appliance?), but I think toddlers come with a homing beacon that goes straight to it (*sigh*)
ReplyDeleteAnd yet, they still survive. Not really sure how :)
hilarious.... i seriously need to write down the funny things kids do. i love when they start repeating things you say. lyvi may or may not have said shit a couple times, although i definitely don't know where she heard it...
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Such a boy!!
