my baby...

...is no longer a baby. he's a little boy. isn't that weird? on landon's birthday my mom took him to go pick out some books at target and take him to lunch at applebees. he is seriously so spoiled by his grandparents!

i've never seen him so happy in a shopping cart. who know all i had to do to keep him quiet was surround him by 25 books?? and nana's such a sucker. he kept pointing at everything and saying, "i want that" and she'd say, "okay" and hand it right over. seriously, she is putty in his hands.

the waitresses sang to him and brought him his own little sundae and he was scared to death. here he is clutching on to nana.

and just for fun i bought him underwear for his birthday. he's been showing some signs of potty training and even though i'm not about to rush it, i just wanted to see how he'd react. he stayed dry all morning...

...and then he crapped himself and i put a diaper back on him.
i'm mad at myself because i didn't get any pictures of that night. we just had  a little family get together at grandma christensen's house. we swam, ate pizza, and played a dice game with the children. i guess it's a christensen tradition that hasn't been played in a while but all of the kids loved it because they got to roll dice and then pick a piece of candy. i mean, who wouldn't love that?! landon blew out a candle in a giant cookie (he's not a real cake person) and was showered with all sorts of gifts and he loved them all...especially if it had anything to do with finding nemo :) the boy is obsessed!

it was a great day and even though landon's not a baby i think he'll always be my baby.
