wow. i can't believe it's been two years since landon joined our family. in some ways i feel like it's been way longer and in some ways i feel like it's flown by so fast and i can't believe i have a toddler.
last night as cam and i were laying in bed about to go to sleep we started talking about the details of two years. this is what we came up with.
in two years...
-we've changed approximately 3,000 diapers
-and at least 2,900 of those diapers were poopy :-)
-we've spent about $700 in diapers (which i was surprised by...i thought the number would be higher)
-landon's been to bed without a bath like 10 times ever
-(with that said) including afternoon baths from just being messy, landon's definitely taken at least 730 baths
-he's owned about 30 pairs of shoes (all of which only seem to fit his foot for about an hour...the kid has got some weird shaped feet)
-cameron estimated he has kissed landon about 3,000 times (averaging 4/day). to that i replied, "oh wow...i kiss him way more than that. you need to kiss him more"
----Cameron's addition: I think I am probably closer to 10 a day, bringing my total to around 7,300
-he's been to the park like 100 times (most of which occured in the fall)
-we've watched "fishies" (finding nemo) approximately 70 times
-i've read "i love you through and through" at least 700 times
-cam and i have memorized every one of his dr.seuss board books. go ahead, quiz us. mr. brown can moo, can you? didn't think so.
-he's swallowed about 20 pieces of gum
-i'm too embarrassed to find out how many hours of yo gabba gabba we've all watched
-he's definitely consumed at least 200 gallons of milk... (including boob juice, of course)
-we've only had to replace the batteries on his music machine once (which is impressive seeing as he listens to it every night)
random stats from the past two years, i know...but that's what we came up with. it's been a really tiring and incredible two years and we wouldn't have it any other way.

How cute! I remember the day he was born well and I can't wait to see that two year old again. Happy Birthday Landon!

ReplyDeletewow two years has gone by fast!! darling little boy :) ha ha ha i love the stats because seriously that's a LOT of poop! i'm always going to hold that over my kids head... "DId you ever wipe poop off my butt? No! So i ALWAYS have the upper hand." boo ya
ReplyDeleteIt's funny to think of stats like that, it really got me thinking :) I bathe my kids WAY less than you do....and that's not because they are clean kids - kudos to you!
