marc steele's birthday...

that's what we celebrate on february 14th. and for the occasion, cam bought me what every girl hopes for...

no, seriously...it seems like i'm being facetious. i really did want a sander SO badly! i have a couple projects i've been working on in the garage and that sander has been incredible! i actually feel like quite an idiot that i didn't get one months ago. what in the world made me think i could sand a dresser by hand?!

and for cam, you ask?

for marc steele's birthday i set up/fixed our printer! seems little but that's huge in our house. we've actually never had a working printer in the almost 3 years that we've been married. i know, embarrassing. it's just one of those things that we never think about until we needed it to print that 10 page essay that's due in 30 minutes so we don't have time and we run to the library instead and use the printer there. so thank you friends, family, and tax dollars for helping us print anything and everything for the past...well, forever.

we had big plans (and by 'big plans' i mean 'plans') for marc steele's birthday. we were scheduled for ward temple night and then landon was spending the night at grandma and grandpa busby's while we went to maggiano's for dinner and then some place cameron researched for dessert. well, instead landon woke up from his afternoon nap with a terrible fever. we cancelled on our ward and grandma and grandpa and ended up eating papa john's and left over cookies and cuddling our little boy to sleep. landon fell asleep in my arms. i know for a lot of you moms out there this is not a big deal to you...your kids do it all the time. not landon. he is the LIGHTEST sleeper and the last time he fell asleep in my arms was probably as an infant.

i may or may not have teared up holding him. best marc steele's birthday ever.
